About the Event

Workshop One - Introduction to Journaling

This is for anyone who has ever thought about keeping a journal but doesn't know where to start ,and for those who have kept journals but want to explore other journaling possibilities. It will cover different types of journals and the benefits of keeping a journal. Bring a pen and  your own notebook / journal.

Workshop Two - Found Word Journaling

Create a journal page using found words from old magazines or books, or use the words to jump start a journal entry. Participants will need a pen. Bring your own notebook / journal and a magazine/book to cut up for words (or use one of ours)

Workshop Three - Art Journaling

A different perspective on journaling, an introduction to art journaling and the options that it offers. Create a journal page from magazine or book images, add words or keep it as a visual entry. Bring your own notebook / journal or create a loose leaf page.

These workshops are provided free to the community thanks to funding support from our sponsors, however if you are able to make a donation your contribution will assist us to cover additional costs associated with the Readers & Writers program including travel and accommodation for some of our visiting authors. Donations can be made in cash at the event or directly by EFT (BSB: 036-150 ACCOUNT: 283565). All donations over $2 are tax deductible. If you make an EFT deposit please include your name in the reference and email us if you would like a receipt.
